About

About me

I am a retired public servant living on the South Coast of New South Wales Australia, reveling in the time I now have to indulge my passion of surface design.  When I am not having fun with paint and dye, I am riding my bicycle along the beautiful scenic coast, or kayaking on the many lakes, estuaries and inlets in this area.  I live with my husband of more than 40 years and have three grown daughters and six grandsons.

Since retiring I have been able to renew my interest in Japan, which began in 1975 when I did a twelve month intensive language course.  I finally made my first visit in 2016 and am now in love with indigo and persimmon dyed fabrics, boro, washi paper and the general Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi.

I have been an accredited teacher with Canberra Quilters since 1997, and am very much looking forward to returning to teaching in my retirement.

Please visit my gallery pages to see some of my work, and follow along on my blog.

    1. Thanks Elizabeth – please have a look at my galleries pages and blog. Things have been quiet on the blog for a while, but now that my time is my own again, I will be back busily creating and blogging.
